Grandalf
Took a mate out for a crack at the Norfolk Pinks yesterday morning. Both in one hide with decoys out in front. Guest instructed to shoot first. First skein of day coming right over the hide about 40 yards up. Guest, standing infront of me, told they were coming to make sure he was ready. Up went his gun. Nothing - right overhead - still nothing. Thought someone had better do something so I fired. Goose folded up and fell like a sack of spuds. Absolutely vitical. Thought it was going to kill my mate. Missed him by six inches and drove itself into the mud. Horrified to think what it might have done to him. Big gander. Very heavy. Anyone else had this problem. Good advert for Patternmaster choke though...

Grandalf
Thanks sounds a cracking set up, do you notice a big difference using the choke Yes - Due length of tubes the gun has never thrown a good pattern. The Patternmaster is, if anything, to tight. Can't use it for flighting teal or anything like that. Super for geese. Quite expensive though - £98 I seem to remember.
