bridges
I went on my first outing yesterday on the land at the pub I work at with the son of the owners. The bag was light (nothing at all), but it was my first time out hunting for live quarry and it was bloody good fun. The rabbits were obviously preoccupied with something else and the usual (so i'm told) supply of woodies never materialised. Ah well, maybe next time. One thing I did notice though was the huge amount of buzzards! At one point we had 5 buzzards overhead, all circling, but didn't seem to be hunting. Perhaps just enjoying the thermals. I blame them for the lack of rabbits... Any one else get out over the weekend? Cheers, Will.
chrisjpainter
alas no. Was thinking about a snowy mooch this evening. The buzzards would send most self-respecting bunnies diving for cover, although time of day might have something to do with it? Still, if a day when you get nothing is enjoyable, it sounds like a good place to be. and next to a pub too - could it be any better! bridges
Got a bit of snow where you are mate? Got nowt down here. We were shooting most of the afternoon, but were hoping for a few of them to show their heads at dusk but no luck. Very true, and then home to a roast - blissful evening! chrisjpainter
yeah just a bit. about 3 inches on the ground? snowed heavily overnight and this morning, but it's melting already. Turning to slush across the paths and fields already i think!
bridges
Slush is the worse. Meant to stay cold for a while, hoping to get out on the fields soon!
