Cranfield
The pigeons have been on the rape for quite a few weeks and now the snow has appeared. This is an excellent time to get permission to shoot the pigeons. Go and find your pigeons and then knock on the nearest farm door. Don't ask for (or expect) written permission to shoot the entire farm for the rest of your natural life, just ask for permission to shoot the pigeons today (or tomorrow, or whatever day you intend to go). If you get the nod, then at the end of that shooting tell the Farmer how you got on and ask if you can try again on another specific day. Thats how the confidence/relationship builds up and the, "come when you can" invitation gets issued.
