any one tried these??

Recommended Posts

I really DONT like them. Got a slab in a deal when I bought a gun and think the dealer was trying to get rid of them. The perceived recoil on my part was on a par with 32gram hunting loads, there was a fair amount of smoke when you broke the barrels and on a few occasions I had a long flame shoot out the barrel. When it came to cleaning there was a large amount of almost fibrous stuff in the barrels ( made me check to see if it was the brush disintegrating). The clays still broke so guess they work.

personally I will use my usual dealer who does eley olympics at £38/250. Find them a softer cartridge and never had any issues and only marginally more expensive them these.

The 32gram number 6 fibre diana however have done ok at controlling vermin / snowmen for me.

It's all I use for clays at the moment, picked up 1000 28g 7.5s from the Sportsman at Exeter for £142. I don't find them any dirtier than any other cartridge i've used but they are a bit punchy, I kill as many clays as I did when I used Eley First or Comp X.

At the end of the day it's where you put the lead that counts, not what flashy packaging it comes in.
