leeboy
I went out to buy some shells today, I generally shoot Clear pigeon which I find to be excellent, quite cheap and hard hitting and I have confidence in them. But the gunshop didn't stock them or my second fave Hull special pigeon. I ended up buying 250 Kent Velocity #6 30gm. I've never heard of these but the geezer in the shop said that these were basically the same cartridge as the clear pigeon. They were cheap, only £30. for 250. I'm thinking perhaps I should of spent some more money. Hopefully they will be fine, but I haven't had a chance to try them yet. Anyone used these before ? are they any good or do you get what you pay for ? Leeboy
taffygun
I use Kent's regularly - 6 32g's I found them to be a good cartridge. I've shot a few of them and they are £115 per 1000. never had a misfire. It's pretty much all I use now. :(
the last engineer
tis the only shell i use in comps, the general purpose diamond shot for all other, run thousands and thousands of em, had a few non-starters ,cant call them miss fires they dont fire at all, usualy the pilot hole in the primer is closed off, your going to get a few in the amount i use, over all a great shell and very consistant. leeboy
I tried them out yesterday on crows on thier way to a big roost. They do seem to do the biz. A found them to be a little stiffer recoil wise but they hit hard. if the weather permits I'm shooting crows on an out door pig unit tomorrow and I anticipate shooting 100+ carts. Should be enough of a test and if thay do as well as the clear pigeon then I may well stick with them. Leeboy
