beesley121
Hi guys, I've heard of a club in the Warrington area (maybe close to Appleton) that allows fac holders to shoot targets outside. I was told that you can't join club unless your already an fac holder and once a member can go at anytime I'm not sure if its in some kind of quarry. This is all I know, anyone have any idea where it is and who I need to contact to join Thanks in advance Ps. It's not the club at the old piggeries nr Walton gardens, I know about that one and that indoor anyway Edited February 8, 2013 by beesley121

Kes
Hi, the club used to be run by a chap who lives adjacent (or at least he used to open up). Best to go round on a Saturday and if the flag is flying near the gate, wait and ask a member as they arrive. The alternative is to ask at the Piggeries, they will know who to contact for the open air club in the quarry. The chap who used to run the Piggeries had a gunshop on Knutsford Road chap called Bartrop, near the weir but he has retired now. Best bet is the Piggeries. Cheers Kes added) if you are looking for centrefire as Mark says there are lots of clubs, get the BASC listing and try some local ones - theres one at Anderton but its private and dead mens shoes unfortunately but cleared up to .308 I believe. Cheers Edited February 9, 2013 by Kes

Dee Wildfowler
Have a look at the website of Phoenix Shooters Association. They shoot full bore guns and they shoot on the MOD ranges at Sealand, which is only half an hour from Warrington. I know a few of their members and they are a friendly bunch of people. The Secretary is Mary Eveleigh at phoenixshooters@yahoo.co.uk John
