jamie g
Good scope. I haven't owned this model but owned the 4200 elite. Which is pretty much the same. - the higher mag and the locking turrets
cooter
I have one fitted to the .223. It is a very good general purpose scope and works well for hunting or target work. Very clear scope out to 400yds. Although I have used it out to 800yds with good results on a clear day with no haze. Comparing it to a Sightron SIII, the Sightron was better at longer ranges but the 6500 was better up to 400yds. Turrets are precise and repeatable. The ret can seem a bit thick at longer ranges, but it's not too bad. If you want to do a lot of long range target work, I would get something thin or with a target dot. The glowing ret is very good, just remember to charge it up if you intend to use it late evening or at night. Light gathering is good, but I can only compare it to what I have used, and for first/last light shots my Meopta has the edge. Just my experience, and I would definitely buy another. HTH Cooter this scope is already attached to a m77 hawkeye .223 that i am strongly thinking of buying. i am just trying to figue out if i have to review my budget for buying a different scope.
