optomist
Yes it does look gold plated! managed to order one i think unfortunately initial order from premier shooting supplies was cancelled as they didn't have any in but Sharon from the company was very prompt and efficient so would deal with them again. finally managed to order one from someone else on the web hopefully will arrive soon as lots of crows around. had a go yesterday but again couldn't get them to land around my rubbish bags even at 250 yds with rifle. So its crow caller time with the shotgun I think when it arrives. The black feather outfit can wait. Optomist
optomist
hi Folks thanks for all your help, I finally received my Primos caller and it worked i set my self up with 2 flocked decoy and dresed in camo worked my way along the ditch bordering the field, laying them out retreating 40yds to ditch and doing the calls whils lying down rifle style. Nothin too wrong with field craft had veil and gloves not ideal camo pattern but it worked had about 8 crows show interest, took 8 shots missed them all!! Then i remembered, i'm c**p with a shotgun esp my £150 baikal using no 6 shot 3/4 and full choke from prone/lying down position. What went wrong? The gun is in good condition if not a little too heavy for prolonged use as i'm not a weightlifter and it never fitted me its too long in the stock, I would have been better with my 410 ratting gun. So I think its time for a rethink as all I have achieved is a tantrum and some even more wary crows. Do I need to change my gun? Thinking about one that fits for a start and possibly a semi auto for decoy type work? or am I beter sticking to over under? All advice gratefully recived or maybe I should stick to rifle shooting. TIGHTCHOKE
If it's a Baikal and too long just hack a lump off until it fits you! No point in having a gun that doesn't fit!
