pointed pellets?

Never had any luck whatsoever with pointed pellets in ANY of my guns, pistols or rifles. What does surprise me is that a previous poster found Wasps .22 to be inaccurate in an S400. Quite frankly I swear by them in my S400 .22 and my XS78 .22. I do get the odd flyer but I get that with AA Field as well. No two guns are ever the same though and what works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. I'm just glad that Wasps suit both my .22's as they are only £3.99/500 at BAR which makes for economical shooting! :good:

The aerodymanics of pointed pellets make them loose velocity quickly and highly subceptible to being deviated by damage or bad moulding.

The basic rules are:

Domed for under speed of sounds, pointed for over.

Which is why Boeing 737s have a domed front, and fighter planes have a pointed front.

Its all to do with the aerodynamics....

In practice I have found pointed to be of little use.

I use domed with great sucess in the field.

What pellets would people recomend for a Webbly Raider II PCP? I am currently using Air Arms Diablo Hunters in .22

Justme

my mate shoots a raider and swears by accupels .22

Agreed, raiders and accupells go well together, I just ran out of my last tin of them.
