Marc Z
Anyone have any experience with these? How rare are they in UK? How do they compare to the remmy SP 10? THANKS!
The Ghost
I am sure this will answer most of your questions http://www.imfdb.org...0_"RoadBlocker" The Ithaca Mag-10 "Road Blocker" was a Police Shotgun used specifically for road blocks. It is a 10 gauge automatic shotgun and sports a Walnut stock, matte finish, and chambered in 3-1/2 inch. The Road Blocker is no longer in production, but Remington bought the rights to the design and have released their model designated SP-10 Edited March 10, 2013 by The Ghost
Marc Z
Hmm, the SP 10 might be a better choice, in case of needing parts. Think I'd be concerned about a semi from the 70s in terms of reliability? How's your Ithaca Ghost?
The Ghost
'The best pump action ever made' I asked PW members what to get and loads said go for the Ithaca (mines 1982). I am sure others will convert you as well Marc, The SP-10 is the same gun but Ithaca are known for build quality. Not sure on Ithaca Auto's
coyotemaster
Actually Remington bought the patent for the Mag 10---then redesigned the gas system making it more reliable. I shoot the SP10 and recommend it heartily. The only time I had any function problems was after crawling through a chisel plowed field after geese and literally bathing the action in mud. The old Ithca was a great gun in it's day but I would opt for a Remmy if possible if only for parts availability. There are sources stateside for new springs and such if you decide to go with the Ithaca.
