Topgunners
EDITED. Now with piccy. Met up with Al very early Saturday morning and we decided to give the "blackies" a try as the Pigeons just ain't having it at the moment. I set up in one field and Al set up two fields away. I had just got settled into my hide when I heard a couple of shots coming from Al's direction and again, and again ,and again. I thought what the hell is going on down there , so I rang him and he said they were just coming in thick and fast. An hour later and I had shot 6 and Al must be over 50+ and then he rang me to say "pop over here as I have to nip off and meet John" So i strips my kit down and when I get to his hide he informs me has shot 61 birds in 1 1/4 hours. He loved every minute of it. I carried on when he had gone but half an hour later or so the birds started to slow up a bit and by the time he came back and we picked up; the total count was 115 blackies and 1 pigeon.(full of acorns) Nice 4 hours shooting with the sun on our backs but STILL NO PIGEONS feeding on the ground. Do you like the "Guardian Angel" watching over us.(before any further wisecracks from all you scrutineerers) Dave K
