Gun Watch Posted April 16, 2013 Report Share Posted April 16, 2013 English Hammer gun £495 16 gauge Shotgun Private Seller Used - Very Good Condition Mkt Rasen, Lincolnshire Hammer, -, -, 27" barrels Description English 16g Dammascus barreled, Hammer gun, made in Birmingham around 1880. BP proofed, stamped "not for ball". Barrels are 27 1/4", LoP is 14". The gun is in exceptional condition for its age, very tight and still retains some of its original colour! Heel plate, pistol grip end plate and forend tip are all horn and virtually unmarked. Internally barrels are perfect with no inperfections. Gun has been inspected by Elderkins of Spalding who assured me it would have no problem being proofed for NP. I use 26g cartridges with no problems. Only for sale to fund new gun purchase.
