decoyally
Was out this evening looking for Mr Charlie not far from my home with my mate.... Went to the spot were he has been spotted numerous times and called for about 20 mins... All off a sudden the crows started to liven up and crowed away.... It is dark at this stage btw!!! I know that birds start to go a bit crazy when a fox is about mostly experienced it with magpies. So this got me thinking what actually triggers the birds to start is it that they can see the fox..smell or hear him. Just curious to know really!! O and the fox came out about 2 mins after the crows starting but no luck.... He was lamp shy I think cause he took off!! cheers ppl.... All lamping experienced welcome... Would be glad to know difference lamping techniques others use!? I use the 'best fox call' which is fantastic!
fabarm gamma boy
tbh mate at this time of year the rooks are in large numbers in rookeries, the slightest noise gets em squawking and taking flight to another tree ect! iv seen this lotts of times! as for the fox mate i would sugest using nv! u dont have to go allout on an nv scope but a good nv monocular is what i use to when calling in foxes! i use this to spot them then watch them coming in! then when im confident of a clean kill i flick the lamp on and mr fox stops dead literally! wel most of the time
