indio
As many have already commented birds seem to be pre-occupied with getting a leg over at the moment (or should that be wing over ?) and there seem to be no more then 4/7 birds in any "flock". The rape has grown too high around here for me to shoot as i don't have a dog and shooting the bare patches would mean that any birds i hit (i should be so lucky) may drop and not be found so that's obviously a no-no. BUT i noticed the pigeons around here (Kent) seem to be in groups od 20/30 in the orchards on the grass that runs between the trees. I don't think the farmers are keen to allow shooting in the orchards as it has something to do with stray shotgun pellets affecting the trees. Has anyone else noted that the flight lines seem to be different at the moment as well ? regards to all
JDog
One bird does not make a flight line and that's all I am seeing at the moment.
gorin
I have Seen the same thing. Just a few birds together and not a lot fly.ing around at All I sat for half hour watching a rape field and didn't see a single pigeon which I suppose is good for the farmer. I did see 12 hares though when taking a walk all in the rape edges
