Scragrat
Yes she was nearby and ran off into a wood. I watched from a distance and she returned after about an hour. Just hope the foxes and buzzards don't find it!

Scragrat
I went out tonight to see if any foxes were hunting the grasses I'd seen the fawn in. Saw a couple of does on the way in yet to drop, then as I got to my vantage point I noticed a fox, head down eating something. Fearing the worst for the fawn I was up onto sticks and took a dog fox through the engine room. The vmax doing it's job, he dropped on the spot. When I got to him he was dining on a pheasant egg so at least the young deer are safe from this one at least.
