sitsinhedges
I'm after selling my 07Jimny jeep and am wondering what is the best time to put it up for sale. Is it worth hanging on til winter or sell it now?
stuey
I'm sure the dealers CAP pricing booklets show slight increases in 4x4 prices over the winter period, but I would suggest selling when you want/need to. I recently sold my nissan pathfinder via auto trader. From placing ad to seeing the vehicle drive off was 3 days! If I had kept it till winter time where I might have got a bit more, I would also have had to spend £600 on new tyres, service, mot, road fund license and anything else that might have gone wrong along the way. Would I have got that money back at resale time? Not likely! Cheers Stu
pimpkiller
sell it when its still working not when it starts breaking down like everyone else does. In theory selling in winter should fetch more money but you wont get many people kicking tyres in naff weather. I think summer is the best time but before any major holidays or people will be skint.
