I also own a number of Opinels. They are ideal for the reasons given. If they dull in the field a few passes with a blade tech and they're razor sharp. I never go hunting without one, and not as bothered losing a £10 knife as opposed to one that costs £100. My favourite at the moment is the small penknife. There is no lock and a small blade which avoids any of those legal grey areas associated with lock knives. I am able to leg, open and gut a rabbit with it and I only paid 2 euros for it.
