Frenchieboy
I have been reloading with a friend for a while now using his equipment and under his watchful eye but I am seriously thinking about starting to reload on my own at home and buying my own equipment rather than having to travel to my mates every time I want some rifle ammunition reloaded. Because I only have "limited space" to work in I don't really have the "desk space" to have a permenently mounted press so I was thinking about the Lee Breech Lock Hand Press as it can be packed neatly away in a storage drawer when not in use. Do any of you guys out there have any experience of these hand presses please. If so can you tell me if they do the job well enough, are well enough built and can be relied on and used with relative ease, and if there are any major pitfalls to look out for when using a Lee Breech Lock Hand Press. I should add at this stage that i will be reloading just .243 and .222 ammunition for my own rifles.
Underdog
I use one in addition to my mounted press. I resize and flare my 357 brass with it mostly. I have loaded several cartridges on it and had no issues except do be aware that one does not have the same mechanical advantage with this press and stout cases like your 243 can be hard work and so my approach was "a little and often" approach to the chore part. For how cheap they are a better set of dies to use with it would go along way to assisting. I would expect 222 brass to fly through it! Hornet, 30wcf and 357 do. U.
