Hunter
If you are after wood, let me know what you need. I have plenty of good beech (seasoned) and a little oak etc.. can cut roughly to size at a low(ish) price Dont think I have much walnut left though. peter5761
Hi, am sorted for the small bits, But would like to have a go at making an FT stock, Do you have enough Beech to make a full stock ?? mail if u want to at pete.millward@ntlworld.com
Hunter
Should be possible. Il have another look in the wood yard, then let me know the size of a block to cut.. The beech will be white, so mearly add oil or stain untill it looks right. Building a whole stock from scratch is pretty hard work, youl need all the tools, and a lot of time.. Unless you have a pillar drill or similar it will be difficult to cut out the section for the trigger mechanism and action.. this would take months to do by chisel and mallet.. Hi, would be looking for a piece 3ft x 9" x 3" beech would be fine, I have a CS1000 stock that I would be copying its quite angular and I have access to some boring tools. I have modified a stock before so have some idea of the problems, cheers and hope to hear from you.
