Hi, My FAC application peperwork will be going off on Monday and all being well hopefully shouldn't be long untill I'm licensed.

The thing is my issuing force is Leicestershire and the land I have permission to shoot on is in Northamptonshire. Will it be much of a delay for the two forces to communicate and for Northamptonshire force to do the relivant land checks and then get back to Leicestershire forces with the results?

Does anyone who if Leicestershire are generally fairly quick or is this likely to be a drawn out process?

Cheers

Col

This shouldn't cause too much problems, My issuing force is Merseyside but all my permissions are in North Wales and Cheshire, they will check the land registry on the data base if it's not shown they will contact the relevent force to ask if this has been checked if the land haas not been checked they may request someone to visit the land if they cannot make a decision by checking google earth ect.

Good luck and what ever the wait it is well worth it

When i applied for my SGC, it took 6 months. During the interview it was more of a casual chat. I was asking him about why it sometimes takes so long. I suggested, was it the doctor... he said no, the doctors normallly charge a small fee and are dealt with very quickly. He said normally its liaising with other police forces that hold up an application. He could talk to his counter part in the other police force. Then wait a few weeks for the info he requires to be relayed back to him.
