Paul taylor
Been on nights this wk and after spending this morn trying to decoy pigeons using my air rifle but watching them whizz past and wishing south yorks police would hurry up with my SGC application just about to go to bed at 11am and phone rings it's only them! When I said I was on nights he said he was in area can I come at 12.30 so couldn't really say no. Rushed round tidied up shaved etc so not to look like a slob. Anyway he's happy with me happy with cabinet and was a sound bloke, he needs to write to my doc check I'm not a risk (mild depression 9yr ago) I've already spoken to doc and he says no problem so that's it really excited and really tired. Just hope it comes b4 duck season gets busy. Can't wait to get out there wanted this since teenage yrs! Atb Paul :)
smokinggun
Congrats mate, I was over the moon after my visit as well and ran out to put a deposit down on two cheap secondhand shotguns a o/u and a sxs, couldn't wait to phone everyone and say it went well. You'll have lots of fun shopping for a gun and soon have a cabinet full, I said I would only buy one but it doesn't happen.
Paul taylor
Ha ha cheers smoking gun. Yeah I like sxs but can see at least a semi auto joining it. Still leaves 3 spaces in cabinet along side my air rifle, FAC one day maybe? Just don't tell mrs T
smokinggun
I hope you are better with a sxs than i am, i think i have hit something with it once and thats it but i love it to bits so wouldnt part with it and every now and again take it out to practice, im better with a single barrel or o/u, nearly every time i take a wander around the fields i take my single barrel baikal, its light and has a sling and is always my go to gun even though it was the cheapest. Semi autos are good, i bought a escort a while back and use it whenever i have a bit of fun on the clays, i to would love a fac but at the moment dont have the space for more guns but maybe one day, Hope your cert drops through the post very soon mate
