a friend told me he had a problem with rats in his chicken coop, and could I put some poison down for him, of course I can I replied, but only after popping round with the Yildiz 410,

Its a shame my mossberg hushpower 410 is still in the gun shop, but as he lives in the middle of no where, I thought I'd try out the o/u on them, popped in just before dusk, with a pocketful of sub sonic carts, a green laser torch and a new muvi camera, the torch is on a pressure switch, so a few seconds of darkness to start with, but mr rat thought he was safe just peeping out, WRONG, got a total of four in a couple of hours

Hi Stubby

My mate has 8000 organic free range chickens 2000 each in 4 sheds, He moves each one and the chickens are replaced every 14 months. So that works out a chicken shed getting moved about every 3-4 months. We went down about two weeks ago after 1 shed had been emptied the sheds are on skids so are towed onto fresh ground with a winch on the unimog. The shed floors are mesh so the chicken **** and food falls through and it is about 2 feet deep in parts and the rats live in it.I took my Jack Russell and my mate took his lurcher, the farmer turns it over with a digger and the fun begins. This time we only had 70 odd but a lot of them move out to the hedgerows for the summer last time we had about 130 and the time before that we had 280.The next time it should be November or December so that should be a good one.But I wouldn't go in there in the dark for all the tea in China
