figgy
When patterning my Gun Carts and choke combo today. I picked up a few of my wads, and noticed that the pellets had pushed right through perforating the sides of the wad coming into contact with barrel and choke. Looked at barrel in my SX3 and no marks, so must have only made light contact. Any body else had this. Figgy

figgy
Cookoff13 does it cause barrel wear and damage to the hard chrome lining? Would have thought the wads would be a bit harder. They open up very well. Just wonder if they were warm of being in the car for a few hours in sun. Picked some up off the marsh and didn't notice any holes, didn't look too closely at the time but ill check some more. Hope they're ok as they are very good carts and pattern well with my SX3 & Kicks High Flyer Mod choke combo, had 2 pellets in 2" circle,12 in 8" & 21 in 18". With mammoth 42 bb at 55 yards spread was 50/50 Patterns looked about the same with 36g no1. Shot slightly low of centre with 36g 3 at 40 yards, probably my fault. Pleased with the results pattern wise, penetration on plywood board at 55 yards with the bb was a full pellet depth, the 1 & 3 at 40 yards went in about six mm. Think the bb's having a bigger surface area stops it going in further. Figgy
