New use for 20g spent carts

Bit of mucking about this morning. Came up with the idea of CartArt.

Todays blue peter episode you will need!

7 spent 20g carts in Yellow flavour. A hot air gun, a sharp knife and Scissors "Always make sure you get an adult to help you when using sharp utensils".

Cut the plastic from the base of 6 empties! Then cut from top to bottom. Open out and fold back on it's self to stop it from turning back into a tube!

Mark and cut out 6 petals. In the end of each petal make a 3mm hole.

Take the last cart and cut it down in length. Heat the end and tease it out into a cone. Pop out the primer and insert a bolt through the primer hole from the inside. Push petals onto the bolt and secure with a nut!

There you have it! Now I just need to make a few stems!

Nice - if you put them on a horizontal spindle, do they spin in the wind?

The local school are always on the lookout for unwanted items to make crafts with. The usual stuff, like unwanted CD's, bits of rope & string, the cardboard bit inside a roll of kitchen paper. I wonder what they would make of a large tub of spent cartridges :whistling:
