Ported chokes are a gimmick. They do not and never will reduce muzzle flip. I agree. The forces that have come in to play to create the muzzle flip could not possibly be countered by a few slots in an extended choke. The other thing that they are good for is protecting the ends of your barrels, if you happen to let the gun slip off your shoe guard onto concrete or the like.
