Squash wavy
Is this a good idea? Best used in plaswad format to protect the barrels? Substantially cheaper compared to a lead equivalent.... Just wondering what others views were
figgy
Most of us prefer lead. Steel is ok close range but looses hitting power at range, steel not as fast as the top lead cartridges due to cip regs. Figgy
Guest cookoff013
i`ve fired about 6-700 steel shells in an afternoon. if you are shooting skeet, 24g #9 is beyond perfect. is you are shooting sprouting then 24g #7 minimum, or 28 gram #7 minimum. its best not to get the 9s and hope to get away with alittle sporting, the performance is way diminished. and the #9 steel 24gram loads are dynamite on skeet. infact they are the best shells i`ve ever used. apart from the RC2 lead 24g#9s. aris
I think the big issue is plastic wads. So many places don't do accept plastic any more. I know Gamebore do a 24g 7.5 which uses a fibre cup - but as far as I know it is the only one.
