r1steele
Why don't you try and place an anchored down floating platform/island in it before it refills. A couple of pallets with some empty gallon cans in the cavity of the pallets anchored in the middle of the pond and then put some turfs and reeds on top, refill the pond and you have a little island for the ducks safety and nesting. Only a thought that's all. Good job clearing so it will be better than it was anyway.
olivhar01
Thanks r1 steele, ive made up a floating raft that i will use anchored with ropes on either bank so that i can pull it in to put feed on also i have hand dug a marginal shelf on one bank to feed in the margins
olivhar01
I like the idea of the island for safety and nesting, might change my plans now! Thanks
r1steele
Whatever you do you will have a better pond than the one you started with and digging a good feeding margin will be one of the best things to improve it.

Where from? How much does it treat? I have a big pond needs treatment and I don't want the fish harmed.
