anser2 Posted November 24, 2013 Report Share Posted November 24, 2013 The taste of wigeon depends on what they are feeding on. When feeding on grass they taste very, very good , but when feeding on the sea shore on Zos or samphire seeds they can be a little strong to say the least. If you shot them on the saltmarsh I would recoment you place an onion inside the birds when you cook then as it will take any salty taste away. Going off the smell of them will take more than an onion to make these taste good.
