Hi all.

Have been reading everyone's knife build thread and have been blooming tempted. So decide sod it ill give it a go.

Had look around and found awesome Helle Harding blade nice and cheap. Found a hickory handle I had lying about and cracked on.

Wasnt to bothered about looks wanted more comfort and fit to my hand. After hours of sanding etc it fits like a glove. Well worth all the time spent.

Once shaped and blade bonded in I gave it a few coats of Tru-oil stain amd allowes to dry then sanded it with 1500 paper so stain stayed in some of the grain to give a patina look. Then 10 good coats of the tru oil itself and flatted each one with wet 2000 paper. Last coat is like glass.

Good sharpen and its like a blooming razor.
