Mentalmac
Evenjng guys, This morning I went out at first light for a walk with the HMR... Was a lovely morning to watch the light come. The sun started breaking through and lit up the beautiful red patches on the chests of a couple of robins in a tree. I sat and pondered if I, a mere mortal could do anything to ruin this beautiful tranquility. Simple - yes. A first miss of the day stemming from a mis calculation of range - followed by a 30 min walk and stalk into some other bunnies, I was turnin round to give up hope when I saw what looked like a shark fin accross the field... Almost like a periscope. A grey was running accross the field. I scoped it up and flowed him hoping he would stop and allow for a shot, nope - into the tree. Damn. Again about to give up hope when I see the flash of white along a hedge up the field, yes - two rabbits! I scoped them up, dialed them in, remained calm and squeezed a shot off at 140 yards, "THUMP" and he was down. His mate ran like the clappers but wasn't as fast as me with my scope, he stopped for what seemed like eternity but was only a second and thump number 2. So, a lovely double whammy and dinner for two tonight :-)
