30-6
I posted the piece below as a PM to another member, but he hasn't been on line for a couple of days. Can another member help out? "I found an old post of yours offering advice on tuning an AA s200. Would you be able to advise me how to do it? I have an AA s410 extra on FAC so am not interested in bumping the 200 up over legal limit. When I bought the 200 .22, new (under a year ago), it was pushing out 10.5 ft/lbs with AA field. However the power has dropped to 9.61 ft/lbs with AA field (weight entered on chrono as 16.2g), 9.5 (14.2g) with RWS super H point and 10.1 (20.5g)with Bisley magnum. I would like to take it to 11.5 ft/lbs with AA field. ALSO - do you think that using 5.51 or 5.52 pellets makes any difference to accuracy, power or anything in any AA rifles? or is one as good as the other, I've tried both but cannot decide. Thanks in advance for any reply."
Batmancaver
Due to the fact that tuning instructions given to you could be used by someone else to take their S200 illegally over the legal limit then you will not get any advice on this Forum. Your best advice would be to take your S200 to your local gunsmith and get him to sort it out. Hope that helps, Karl Just read the rest of your question! Pellet sizing can alter your groupings. Your best bet is to make various groupings at various distances with each size and to compare them. With my S200 I find that my best groupings are with JSB Exact in 4.51 whereas in other sizes there is quite an obvious grouping difference.
