nobby
Well it took me a year after moving to the Isle of Wight but I had my first mooch around some of the 350 acres I've just been awarded. Went out in the day time to check out signs of activity and bought old faithful (tx200 mk2) just in case. Only walked about 40-50 acres of the land and seen plenty of signs of bugs so an evening shoot will follow using my ns50 and BSA r10 mk2 combo. Best of all is there was loads of pigeons so I can try my hand at decoying as it is something I've yet to do. Empty bag but I wasn't being particularly stealthy and was just glad to get out, can't wait to fill the pot. Had a little session shooting some twigs dug into the ground at varying distances and happy to say the tx still has my attention every time I use it. It has a lot more soul than my more expensive pcp and is ruthlessly accurate.

chrisjpainter
sounds like a good perm. Where abouts is it on the Isle? It's always worth having a wander before really committing to a proper shooting session. Good luck the decoying
nobby
Cheers. It's around the merstone area. Will have a read up on decoying and give it a crack.
