Actionpigeons
PW member Hawk4Sport and myself decided to have a cpl of hrs flight-line shooting this afternoon, as Hawk4Sport (Mr Dickweed) has been off work with Man-flu. When we arrived at the field we intended to shoot there was a large flock of feral pigeons on the rape stubble, so it looked promising. We stood about 70yrds apart on a goodish flight-line, after the 1st cpl of shoots the feral’s moved off as we had no decoys to hold them. We shot from 1.45 to 4.00 and managed a good number of birds each. I saw Hawk4Sport knock a very nice high wood pigeon down, must have been a lucky shot…. May go back next week and decoy the feral pigeons, but we could do with some cold to get the woodys feeding hard.
