Also, most left-handed air guns are not "true" lefties..... the stock, comb etc are designed for left hand use but the bolt/action tends to be right handed. Guns such as the R-10 (and similar designs ie bolt fixed to end of action) you can fix a left hand bolt to these. The bolt, as you say, unless dedicated left handed, is designed for right hand use. The internals make it operate in a 9 o'c open position and locked in the 3 0'c position.
