markshaw2000
Hi I have a Remington 1100 fixed choke and I was wondering if anyone knows how to identify what the barrell is choked at. There are various numbers and markings on the barrell, one saying "MOD". Does this simply mean that its modified or is this marking for something else? Also does anyone know how to age the gun. I have read some info on the web about ageing it off some numbers on the barrel, however this isn't the original barrell as I changed for a different one without the compensatory on when I brought it. There is no serial number on the barell, only on the action Thanks
fenboy
I would have thought MOD is the choke so 1/2 choke which is perhaps the best compromise for a auto.

That's what I though mate. I just wasn't sure if it was refering to the barrels or something else
