tlennox Posted January 20, 2014 Report Share Posted January 20, 2014 Choose a semi with a 3" chamber, then you have the option of shooting 3" cartridges if needs be. I think both should be steeled proofed. Have a feel of them both and see which fits you best. The nothing worse than a gun that you can't hit anything with. bostonmick Posted January 20, 2014 Report Share Posted January 20, 2014 I have a 400xcel which I bought for one of my grandchildren to use he shoots well with it and it has had no problems of any kind cycles any cartridge you feed into it.i also know people who use brownings and again no problems so it would come down to which one suits you best really.
