Lord Geordie
OK! Here is the rub! I just got a old MEC super 600! In effect the predecessor of the 650n I spent this morning mucking about with it and noticed the primer holes in the carousel and the hole in the repriming station are about 6mm? Now modern primers are more 8mm so the holes are far to small. I am thinking of drilling out the carousel to 8mm holes! But the reprime station I have a dilema! I can drill the bush out to 8mm, sure! BUT that means the rod will be far to small and is most likely going to be narrow enough to.set the primers off being only 6mm All I can think of is a brass bush to slip over the existing rod to make it JUST under 8mm does anyone have a brass sleeve "tube" with a 6mm i/d and a 8mm o/d I can buy a bit from please? Hope someone can help or it means buying a whole unit from MEC Thanks.
Lord Geordie
Think I have that sorted now! I took the primer station out and made a bush to slip over the pin. First are the before pics! Then the after pics!
