lord_seagrave
Need a quotation to supply and fit c.43 sqm carpet (hall, stairs, landing and small regular shaped room) in Wolverton near Milton Keynes. Not in a rush, but will need a tidy and inexpensive job doing sometime before the beginning of May. LS
halfbee
I used Carpet Warehouse in Stacey Bushes, not a bad price and they recommended a fitter who was clean and efficient.

Cheers Halfbee, in fact, one of their fellows came over this afternoon and gave me a good price. I'm keen to compare it, and if I can put a bit of work someone's way via PW so much the better. lord_seagrave
Cheers Castletyne, very interesting. I had two options from the guys from Stacey Bushes - a felt-backed carpet @ £8/sqm that 'doesn't need underlay', or a more expensive carpet @ £13/sqm with free underlay (as part of a promo). Looking at a little over £500 or a little under £700 respectively, fitted. I'm getting the house ready to sell, so I want a tidy, inexpensive job doing - I'm not so concerned by the feel of it or the longevity, but it must look OK. If it helps, it need not be the same carpet throughout (there are four separate areas). LS
castletyne
You should be able to get a descent carpet cheaper than £8 sq mtr A cheap loop pile for about £5 sq mtr. I would always put an underlay down even with a felt back carpet Dont believe any shop that says its giving free underlay its not its in the price
