dazzyboi
I ripped my jacket the other day on some barbed wire!! Oops! Im after a new jacket and some camo trousers.. Bit skint at the moment so im looking to spend around £30-35 on the jacket the trousers i could get for abit less. I want it to be waterproof but at the same time my old jacket used to make a hell of a noise when i moved around. Anyone got any suggestions? Deako
Fox series is pretty thin TBH mate, and only showerproof. If you get a minute, give us a bell...it is quite possible to get good gear without spending a fortune, just be very wary of super cheap gear, its usually ****. The trousers are about 32 to 34 at a guess, I am a 36 waist and they are just that bit too tight, they are also supposed to be water proof, and wind proof, but as I have not worn them then I can not realy comment, very thin material, so light but warm.. The jacket will be about 38 to 40 chest at a guess, comes with hood attached, downside is the lack of usable pockets, breast pockets only! Would take £15.00 for the lot + P+P
Dunkield
Although I have Deerhunter stuff and other quality gear, I also still have ex army goretex jacket/trousers and I can vouch for the fact they are 100% waterproof, even when laying up for half an hour in 2" of water I got mine here, go for the 'graded' (used) stuff it is fine, not quite but windproof and waterproof. http://www.outdoorsurplus.co.uk/goretex.htm
