jmcc1889
Hi all A friend has passed me a lot of 12 bore cartridges of various makes and ages to add to my collection. My query is has anyone any suggestions of how to clean / polish the brass heads as some of them are tarnished or in some cases lightly corroded. I have no doubt that some of these are quite rare and I would like to keep them in good condition should i rub them lightly with oil or vaseline etc once i have them cleaned? Any advice would be appreciated John

ChrisAsh
Its only a thin layer of Brass Plate over steel, so any hard rubbing will show the steel
