rogcal
Anyone else got Viral Hemorrhagic Disease wiping out the Rabbit colonies in their area? I'm finding corpses all over the place and at least two colonies have been wiped out on my land over the last couple of weeks. I expect the occasional appearance of myxomatosis which will inevitably cull a few from time to time but this is like a remake of "Outbreak" with rabbits playing the role of humans! Oh well, it'll save me a few rounds.
LeadWasp
Nothing is Sussex or Hants I know of.....I'll ask some farming mates in and around Spalding to see what's what. Maybe if it spreads south a bit it will sort out the rabbit zombies on the A141 outside Chatteris. Every time I drive through there it's like a Hitchcock movie with rabbits for crows. rogcal
Just found an adolescent doe rabbit minutes from death and clearly a victim of VHD (Rabbit Ebola for want of a better description) What with myxomatosis at one end of my land and VHD at the other, the poor blighters are not having much of a year. Anyone else experiencing either of these two diseases on land they own/shoot this late in the year?

rogcal
No only suffering from lead poisoning! No need. Had died of natural causes by the time it took to tie the dog up and walk back a couple of yards to neck it. Left the corpse half in and half out of the entrance to the burrow with the intention of spreading the virus (if not already full of dead un's) and gone the following morning so looks like Mr Fox had his fill overnight.
