kip270
Hi guy's, after my pigeon shooting the other day, i had a plinking session in the garden and after a about ten shots, my POA moved, and then looking at the end of the silencer it looks as if the pellets are clipping the silencer!!!! I have a Logun silencer fitted to it Do you have a Longbow, and a sliencer fitted and if so how do you find it.
SNAKEBITE
Check that all the fixings are tight, maybe even taking it all off and starting again. If it was o.k. then try to find what has changed.
reedbradshaw
my mate has a silencer on his longbow and to be honest it makes little difference at the gun end dont know about the target end he got his from local gun shop think they ordered it in for him
Hunter
I used to use a longbow, good gun, but the short(ish) barrel is often fitted with a silencer to help break the barrel. Dont do this!!! it ruins the thread, and bends the silencer allowing pellets to clip inside it. I never really used silencers on spring guns, as the twang from the spring is far louder and cannot be hushed unless expensive tuning is done. farmer
I shoot with a SAK silencer on my longbow .177 and it's spot on. First thing I did when I bought the Gun was to get a full tune done by Tony at Sandwell fieldsports. Totally different gun to shoot with after he's worked on it breaking the barrel can be done with 1 finger and theres no noisy "Twang" on firing. Conygree
My son has a longbow fitted with a HW moderator - careful not to use it to cock, works well no problem. despite the twang it does silence on the target end alot.
