One less chicken thief

I was out at the beach this afternoon and got a call from Mark one of my oldest permissions and a really nice bloke,he told me that his wife had started to keep chickens in the yard ,but out of 7 only 2 were left as a fox had 5 yesterday. Now Mark has always told me to leave the foxes as the do no harm on his land,so when he asked me to pop up and start sorting the problem i was happy to oblige.

So back from the beach, quick change and up to the farm,i could see where the fox had been coming from so i got in a position at the top of the field, and after 15 minutes of squeaking a fox came up the 30 foot bank,as it got to the top it stopped and looked directly at me,but i was already waiting with finger poised, one straight in the bib,and it did a back flip and rolled down the bank.I could see it in the undergrowth and it was not going to get any more takeaway, but i wasn't risking going down the bank,it is a lot steeper than it looks.

Mark heard the shot and popped over to see me,i pointed out the tail sticking up in the undergrowth and he was happy, and gave me permission to get the rest of the foxes, and he said he would get a bag of new potatoes sorted out for me.

Foxy is down there.
