Zx12rash
Does an air rifle with a shrouded barrel need a slot for a moderator on FAC. ?? Or is a moderator classed as an aftermarket suppressor only? FEO seemed a bit vague. Thought I'd get opinions.

As Mike says above. Rifle is classed as a firearm and so is a mod separately. Mike, I thought you had an Airwolf/Ranger at some point? My 40ftlbs Airwolf is pretty quiet with the shroud, certainly a 1/4 of the noise made by the Rapid I had with the Theoben Vortex mod on it. Tbh inho, the shroud on the Airwolf is so quiet, that the Daystate mod makes little to no difference.
Zx12rash
This is what I thought. How about a shroud extension?

Zx12rash
The shroud that is already on the barrel. Unscrew the cap and screw In an extension. Looks the same just has more baffles in. Like fx do a shroud extension for bobcats

Like fx do a shroud extension for bobcats Ok, understand that. I would imagine its a grey area, but would probably be construed as a separate moderator as its an additional silencer and not part of the original rifle. Just my view and not qualified in anyway other than a common sense approach. Edited July 16, 2014 by turbo33
