pigeonblasterian
Decided to go and see what rabbits i could get tonight after leaving this permission alone for a week.As usual there were a few about that ran back into the hedge as i walked along it. I got laid down at 2100 and packed in at 2140 as it was getting dull and dark and was difficult to see. I took the 17hmr tonight and i had not used it for a couple of weeks and the crack when it shot seemed rather loud. This was probably due to me only using the 22lr for the last couple of weeks during the night wanting to be as quiet as possible and not annoy anyone who was sleeping. Crack though it did the rabbits kept appearing and i managed 6 in forty minutes. Well worth going out and will have to go and have another night session soon. evo
nice shooting mate, what sort of distances were you shooting them with the hmr ? using the .22rf, max I,ll shoot is 70yrds but even at that distance its amazing how hard it hits, I do love using the airwolf and wolverine on the rabbits as they are whisper quiet and harder to try and get close to them, as said excellent shooting and certainly wish I could get that many in 40 mins atb Evo
pigeonblasterian
I was shooting roughly between 50 and 120 yds with the hmr.Usually with the 22lr i only shoot out to 80yds as i feel confident shooting them at that range and i don`t like to push it..Not got a decent air rifle it is something i am looking into getting.
