byhsu
Has anyone installed a Venomac Power Kit in their rifle? Does it add any power to the gun?
darren m
byshu -- a venom stage 1 kit would be the way to go for your hw80, it will smooth out the firing cycle giving less recoil, as far as power, venom springs are usually smaller than standard ones because they are so efficent, thus you would/may need washers to increase the power. but if you are 12ftlbs limited as most are , then spring on its own is enough as it will wear-in and more than likely probably increase inpower with use. so to stay on the right side of the law you must keep a check using a chronograph on its out-put. Darren . ps .saying that if you have fac or no limits , you can have a maglaza conversion , but i think this is only done at the venom workshops . byhsu
Thanks Darren: Actually I wanted to do the tune for the HW97K and I am in the US, so no FAC rules, and I am not restricted to 12 fpe, I think my rifle has around 16 fpe out of the box, mine is a .22 cal. I want the HW97K to get to the power level of the HW80. Someone else suggested I get a Maccari spring kit with a venom piston seal. I am not sure which one would be better choice? the Venomac Power kit or the one I just mentioned. By the way where can I order the Venom Piston Seal for the HW97?
