Degalle79
Does anyone feed it to pheasants, and what does it look like, any pics?? I have half ton to try but looks a bit dusty and worried it might block in springs and Wright feeders in winter. I am in a club run in our spare time, so it is essential feeders do not block regularly. I will post pic tomorrow.
ColinF
Yes we use a bit of kibbled maize, I haven't got any pics, but it is very dusty. We normally use it through a spinner or hand feed it mixed with wheat later in the season. If there is any left at the end of the season I put it in the normal spring feeders, and it goes through fine. I have noticed it can go a bit lumpy if it gets damp, but as long as your feeders are water proof it should be ok. Pheasants love it, but I have read that too much maize can make them fat, which doesn't help their flying ability.
Paul223
Yeah we feed it Mix a hand full or two in to each sack of wheat, makes life a bit more interesting / something to scratch at when fed through an auto feeder
