Zetter
Hi All I don't know if this of any use but I though I would share a handy little thing I have found useful when zeroing my .22lr on my permission. Now normally I zero on a target card and use a pile of earth with the rising ground behind it as a backstop. However this does limit me to one location i.e. the pile of earth so if the wind is a bit off it doesn't help. But I acquired a bullet proof ex army issue jacket a long while ago. I have found that this does a marvellous job of stopping .22lr bullets dead (quell surprise I guess ) I still using the rising ground obviously as my main backstop but this draped over the target box really gives extra piece of mind and you don't get any odd ricochets off it as it just absorbs the rounds. Obviously it will wear through after a while but if you see one for cheap it may be an option for building a little bullet catcher with the added bonus you can wear it to your zeroing point for ease of carrying . Zetter
Very quiet as it's essentially hitting fabric well Kevlar so all you here is a soft thump akin to the round hitting soft earth
