Anyone want to work your dog on grouse??

Recommended Posts

Evening all..

i will have a few Saturdays and midweek days available for someone to work there dog on a grouse moor in the pennines..

must be steady with sheep..

not sure if its something people will want or not but it will be a good few hours out and will give the dog and yourself a good experiance to see walked up grouse and help flush/retreve the birds..

ive taken loads off here grouse shooting but this is purely a work your dog type of deal..

drop me a PM if interested..

the moor is situated 30 mins north of manchester..

must also be in good health as its hard work on the moor and will be 3 or 4 hours of going thru heather..

Please dont pm me asking to shoot or can you bring a staffie or your mates bull mastif, this is a real chance for proper or part trained dogs to try something new/different to help them along..

rich. :shoot:

Hi Rich

Is this just walked up or would you consider a Weimaraner?

Marc

Yea just a informal walked up days, my dog is getting past the hard work now and prefers sitting in front of the log burner..so offering a few days out to other people with working dogs to help out as not wanting to lose grouse in the heather and also to help flush them...it's not a posh day just a walk really and a brew and the odd grouse..
