thegazbo
Self-sufficiency Foraging by David Squire has anyone read this book and is it any good. My wife bought me practical self sufficiency by **** and James Strawbridge and that is not much help at anything except reminding you of the tv series they did. Ricko
I bought Food For Free by Richard Mabey. It is reckoned to be the seminal tome on this subject. Although it has been around for a while. If you want inspiration then I suggest HFW's first series on tv called A Cook on the Wild Side. A good time of the year to get started. Last night's pudding was Apple and BlackBerry Pie! Edited August 29, 2014 by ricko

Last night's pudding was Apple and BlackBerry Pie! I have food for free and a few of hfw books, I have a nephew who has been getting into trouble a lot and I took him out foraging so I could talk to him, He has taken to it like a duck to water so I just want to get him as many good books as I can to encourage him down the right path.
